FC FREE WHEELERS SCOOP SFP DOUBLE WITH FFA CUP GLORY
    04 June 2015

Adam Walters rounds the season off with a SFP double, picking up the FFA Cup trophy to add to his league title.

Walters double honours pushes him up to 3rd in the SFP Hall Of Fame, at the expense of Robbo, Ross, Michael and Stuart Wigby, who have all also got 2 SFP title to their name but slide down a place as they don't have as many honours. Walters now has 6.

  • CHAMPIONS

FC FREE WHEELERS CROWNED 2014/15 CHAMPIONS
    25 May 2015

Adam Walters has officially picked up his 2nd SFP title, as FC Free Wheelers hold on to their lead at the top.

After a long hard season, it ended up being one of the closest finishes in history, and not only because of the top two. The top 4, indeed 5 or 6, were the closest they have ever been to each other.

But ultimately, it was Walters who claimed his second SFP title, after an eleven year wait.

    Manager Walters was understandably chuffed:

"Woo hoo! That caps an immense day. Well played Bubba, you had a great season, and the fact you were so competitive with such few transfers is worth some silverware itself. Wheelers are delighted to have secured their second SFP title. It's been a team effort, and we hope to defend our title in style next season... It's been the best season I can remember in SFP history."

After holding top spot for the majority of the season, and finishing runner up for the second season in a row, Manager Dale was gracious in defeat:

"Walters has coasted to the league, congratulations mate! Was another great season and title run-in. We will be back next season. Where do I start with where it went wrong?! Injuries have been tough: Foster, Shaw, Debuchy, Ramsey, Giroud, Nugent. Bony going to City wasn't helpful. I'm not the only one to be affected by this kind of thing but has still been annoying! And then Wheelers led by Kane have been flying and were deserved winners in the end. Still, can't complain about second spot and winning the cup."

  • THE GRAND FINALE

    ADVANTAGE WALTERS?
    21 May 2015

Jolly Rogers failed to close the gap last night. Instead Wheelers edged a head by another 3 points.

It all means Walters has a 21 point lead going into Sunday. Surely itís a lead too big, but you never can tell. Nick clawed back an incredible 30-odd points on Michael in 2013 on the final day, but was still 7 short.

Elsewhere, there are other managers looking to finish on a high. The Jermy brotherís battle for 3rd and 4th, with Michael set to pounce on any slip up.

If Pritchard Senior can hold onto 6th place, it will be his best positional finish ever. Adam has never finished above mid table. In mid week he got enough points for it to be his best points haul ever. However, TMNS are hanging to his coat tails, in what has already been Martinís best season ever one his own.

At the other end of the table, itís looking like being Robbo and Rossís 2nd worst ever finishes, while defending Champion Adam Patterson, plus Ed and Scott look set for their worst league finishes in their histories.

    Roll on Sunday!

  • SFP CUP FINAL

    ROGERS JOLLY IN VICTORY
    19 May 2015

Rob Dale has claimed his 4th SFP honour in 3 seasons as Jolly Rogers narrowly beat Munson Innovo in the SFP Cup Final.

Since he joined the league in 2012 he's won the Fantasy European Championships and World Cup plus last years FFA Cup. But this season's SFP Cup win goes down as his first real major domestic trophy.

Having lost out to Michael's AC Spartak in the 2013 final, Rob did it in style this year going the whole campaign without losing a single match - in the group stage or over two legs.

    Manager Dale was understandably jolly:

"Delighted with the cup win last night. The aim for the season was silverware so that can now be ticked off. Focus now reverts to league however. Hoping that a big final week is approaching and we can knock those Wheelers off the top spot. Having led for so long I can't help but feel that the season will be a disappointment should we not take the title."

Manager Pritchard Junior was gracious in defeat:

"Overall we're pleased to be taking £50 from the season. Cup heroes."

"Congratulations to Rogers, who I hope go on to do the double"

  • SFP 5ASIDE CUp FINAL

    MUNSON CLAIM SFP HONOUR
    12 May 2015

Munson Innovo take the seasons second piece of silverware with a convincing victory over Robin Van Peggsie in the 5ASide Cup Final.

Pritchard Junior fielded a strong five (too strong initially with the much publicised 3 up front formation) and it turned out to be the right five with Munson scoring two goals and claiming two assists.

In the other corner, RVP only mustered a single clean sheet. The teams namesake even failed to turn up. A different combination of players could quite easily have turned the tie around, but on the day Peggís side came up short.

So Scott adds a 2nd 5ASide Cup trophy to his cabinet, to go with the one he won 10 years ago (although in 2005 it was 7ASide). This coming weekend heíll have the chance to add one more as he takes on Jolly Rogers in the SFP Cup Final.

Manager Pritchard Junior was pleased, but hungry for more:

"Obviously pleased, but we remain fully focused on this weekends SFP cup final. Our appetite is for more..."

  • SFP CUP SEMI FINAL RESULTS

MUNSON AND ROGERS CLAIM FINAL SPOTS
    05 May 2015

In a pulsating Semi Final 2nd leg weekend, Rob Dale and Scott Pritchard finished victorious in their respective Semi Final ties.

Just as they did in the 5ASide Cup, these two sides topped Group A in qualifying, 'The Group Of Death', so it seems only right that they meet in the final.

In a tightly fought tie with Butt Kickers, Rogers were held in deadlock until late on monday night, after Gerard had levelled the tie for Baynes. But with just 50 minutes left of the final game of the weekend, Aaron Ramsey popped up, ironically assisted by Butt Kickers Cazorla, to score the decisive winner.

In the other tie, Munson and Spartak played out an absolute belter. Lucchesi took a confident 3-1 lead into the second leg, but a brace from Ulloa, and then a surprise double from Sunderland's Gomez saw the cup wonders Munson take a 5-3 lead. Aguero managed to pull one back, but Scott held on to claim his second Cup Final of the season, in his return to the SFP stage.
